What is Personal Training and What are
the Benefits? |
Personal
Training (PT) is about staying motivated, getting
results and getting them on schedule.
Each person is an individual with a unique body:
from genetics, past history injuries etc. and
therefore a personal trainer will develop an
exclusive, tailor-made exercise regime to meet the
needs, expectations and requirements of the client
making personal training the most time-effective and
quickest way to reach your fitness objectives and
see results. Clients look better and most
importantly feel better- faster and more
efficiently, suiting the busy lifestyles of today.
PT
integrates a wide range of training disciplines and
methods to ensure that your interest is high and
your body and mind are continuously being challenged
in multiple ways, always keeping focused on the
goal. PT also balances your bodies muscles during
each and every workout, while still concentrating on
accomplishing your primary fitness aim. You are only
as strong as your weakest link, and the same holds
true for muscles. If one muscle or joint is weaker
with respect to the other connecting tissues, then
that weaker muscle will hold you back and
also increase the likelihood of injuries. With the
customised and specialised attention of personal
training, these situations can be corrected or even
prevented.

those jeans that are just hanging in the wardrobe;

levels, reduce stress and gain muscle strength and
endurance as well as improve body composition; or

The importance of Goals at Platinum
Physique |
|
One of the first things we will address
together are your GOALS!! Many people
approach fitness with very vague intentions
of "getting fitter" or "losing some weight"
but such loose goals make it hard to incite
significant lifestyle changes. We will be
looking at developing SMART (Specific,
Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timed)
and clear goals upon which we will set about
developing a programme of exercise,
nutrition and lifestyle changes that will
work for you, to ensure you achieve those
goals.
We will look to uncover goals that you may
not have realised you had, or ones you have
resigned or ignored. Once you have
identified a goal you can begin to make the
journey towards it, hence that is your first
step. Aims will be revisited and revised on
a regular basis, ensuring the goal is still
appropriate for you. Just imagine...soon you
will be achieving things you might not have
even considered possible , and those goals
you are apologising for (“well, really I'd
like to be a size 8, but a 10 is more
realistic”) are finally well within your
grasp. With pertinent and suitable
instructions and motivation, I have every
confidence you truly are capable of more
than you give yourself credit for! Some
thoughts to keep you motivated and get you
started on your journey to self-improvement:
“This one step-choosing a goal and sticking
to it- changes everything.” (Scott Reed)
“You are never too old to set another goal
or to dream a new dream.” (Les Brown) “What
you get by achieving your goals is not as
important as what you become by achieving
your goals.” (Zig Zagler) “If you shoot for
the stars and hit the moon, it's ok. But
you've got to shoot for something. A lot of
people don't even shoot.” (Robert Townsend)
“Knowing your destination is half the
journey”. (Unknown author) “Obstacles are
those frightful things you see when you take
your eyes off your goal.” (Henry Ford) |
